Roman Reigns has seemingly posted a response to The Rock’s apparent tease of a match between the two on last night’s Day 1 WWE Raw.
Amid much speculation beforehand, the mystery ‘Former WWE Champion’ that was rumored to appear on Raw was in fact The Great One himself Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
Much of Rock’s appearance was straight out of The People’s Champion’s playbook; running down poor Jinder Mahal; who was his victim for the night before getting the crowd to chant insults and of course finally laying the smacketh down on the Modern Day Maharaja.
However, before Rock signed off for the night he dropped a bombshell by teasing the much-anticipated, almost inevitable showdown between he and his cousin, The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.
While Reigns obviously wasn’t present to give a response, he did look to do so on Twitter, posting a single laughing emoji (see below) not long after Raw’s conclusion.
What this means for The Rock’s potential involvement in this year’s Royal Rumble and/or WrestleMania, we’re not quite sure, especially with Cody Rhodes waiting in the wings to finish his story.
Make sure to stay tuned to WrestleTalk for any updates on a potential Rock vs Reigns match as well as any news on Rock’s status for the Royal Rumble if/when it becomes available.
