A former WWE name has been hired by All Elite Wrestling in a major role following recent departures from the company.
AEW has had a number of big backstage departures in recent weeks, with Rafael Morffi, Dana Massie and QT Marshall all leaving their behind the scenes roles they had had since the early days of the company.
However, AEW has been filling in those roles, and another big backstage hire has now been revealed.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), several within AEW have been notified that Kosha Irby is set to join the company, potentially in a COO role.
Irby had previously worked as the Regional Director of Live Events for WWE, as well as working with the Memphis Express of the AAF as President, the Clemson Tigers as Executive Senior Associate AD and Chief Marketing Officer.
Irby had also done work with Georgia State, University of South Florida and Saint Louis.
Tony Khan left the door open to those that recently left the company to work with them in the future, as well as stating that the company would have some new announcements coming soon.
WWE also recently had a major backstage shakeup, with Kevin Dunn leaving the company after over 40 years.
