WWE star Bayley is hopeful that she will achieve a career first at WrestleMania 40 on April 6-7, 2024 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
With the Royal Rumble premium live event taking place later this month, we’re almost on the road to WrestleMania.
With there being a lot of speculation surrounding potential title matches WWE could make for April’s show of shows, Bayley has stated that she’s hoping to wrestle her first WrestleMania singles match this year.
Speaking with Cageside Seats, the Role Model noted that she plans to win the Royal Rumble to ensure that she achieves this career goal.
Bayley said:
“Everybody knows that when you win the Royal Rumble, you get to point at the sign and the fireworks go off. That’s the stuff you dream about.
“I’m excited to feel that. I wanna feel that and I wanna get that singles match at WrestleMania.”
With Bayley previously stating that she’s always wanted to win the Royal Rumble, winning this year’s match and earning a championship bout at WrestleMania would deliver a double whammy to Bayley’s bucket list.
Bayley made her WrestleMania debut at WrestleMania 33 in 2017, where she defeated Sasha Banks, Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair to retain the WWE (Raw) Women’s Championship.
Since then, Bayley has only competed in multi-woman matches at WrestleMania events.
She competed in the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34, and was in action in the Women’s Tag Team Title four-way bout at WrestleMania 35.
Bayley defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship in a five-way elimination match at WrestleMania 36, and was just a host for WrestleMania 37.
She was still out of action due to her knee injury when WrestleMania 38 took place, but teamed with IYO SKY and Dakota Kai against Becky Lynch, Lita and Trish Stratus at WrestleMania 39.
Bayley has now explained why she chose to re-sign with WWE, which you can read more about right here.
