AEW’s Taz has reacted to his son HOOK’s incredible World Championship main event on last night’s Dynamite show.
FTW Champion HOOK took part in the biggest match in his career so far last night, when he main evented Dynamite against Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship.
While Joe did end up picking up the win, the match served as a coming out party for HOOK, who passed out in the Clutch, as well kicking out of a Muscle Buster at one.
HOOK’s father Taz was on commentary for the bout, and he has since taken to social media to heap praise on HOOK following the match.
He simply wrote:
Very proud of this dude. Grit. Heart. Tough. #HOOK
HOOK was endorsed by Hangman Adam Page after the match after Page and Swerve Strickland both took aim at Joe and the AEW World Championship.
HOOK’s title shot came following a recent Twitter drama involving AEW’s Tony Khan, when he ranted about Jinder Mahal’s World Heavyweight Championship match on this week’s Raw.
HOOK’s loss on Dynamite was just his second in his AEW career.
HOOK’s first loss came to Jack Perry on Dynamite last year, with Perry taking the FTW Championship.
Very proud of this dude.
Grit. Heart. Tough. #HOOK https://t.co/PMbemNU3ME— taz (@OfficialTAZ) January 18, 2024
