A WWE star eliminated himself from the 2024 Royal Rumble after joining the match and realizing he was up against Omos.
When the 22nd Men’s entrant in the WWE Royal Rumble 2024 was called to join the match, the entrance theme and tron video that played were for Pat McAfee, who was on guest commentary for the night.
Wondering whether or not he should join the match, he was encouraged by Michael Cole and Corey Graves and ended up entering the match.
However as he climbed into the ring, the only men standing at the time were both Bron Breakker and Omos who were occupied with each other but then turned their attention towards McAfee.
Pat would climb out of the ring over the top rope and back into it before finally electing to go ahead and eliminate himself, jumping down from the ring apron and re-joining the commentary team.
Pat McAfee was officially in the match for 38 seconds.
Much to Michael Cole’s delight who reported that since his own Royal Rumble time was well over 1 minute, his record as the longest commentator in the Rumble in WWE history is still intact.
