Former WWE Champion Big E has shared an update on his current mindset towards an in-ring return in the future.
The New Day member has been absent from physical competition for almost two years – having suffered a broken neck following a belly to belly suplex from Ridge Holland on the March 11, 2022 edition of SmackDown.
Thankfully Big E is now feeling great – and has been working on projects outside the ring, as well as continuing to make public appearances for WWE.
Most recent of which was the recent premiere for Bianca Belair and Montez Ford’s new reality series: Love & WWE: Bianca & Montez.
Speaking to Denise Salcedo whilst attending the event, Big E shared an update on a potential in-ring return – saying that he wants any decision regarding his future to be a smart one due to not only his neck injury, but others sustained throughout his career.
Big E explained:
“…So when I think about the damage I have done to my body over the years, I just want to be smart, because this is the one body I get and I have to carry it throughout my 40s, 50s hopefully and beyond.
“So that’s the goal. I just want to make a smart decision and I am just so grateful to feel so good, to have no restrictions and I want to be smart with whatever decision I make.”
Big E also recently described how he felt watching the Royal Rumble 2024 and whether it made him feel left out or not – click here for E’s full comments.
