An update has emerged on a change WWE plans to make for this year’s WrestleMania 40 premium live event in April.
This year’s Show of Shows will emanate from the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 6 and 7.
It was previously reported that WWE planned to change the start time for the main show from the 8pm ET, which is typical for WWE PLEs, to 7pm ET.
Per Dave Meltzer in a Wrestling Observer Daily Update, the start time for WrestleMania 40 has been moved up again, to 6:30pm ET.
For UK fans, this would mean that WrestleMania would begin at 11:30pm. WWE’s plans for the pre-show are currently unclear.
Fans will learn more about WrestleMania at Thursday’s “WrestleMania XL Kickoff” public event in Las Vegas.
While The Rock and Roman Reigns are scheduled to have a face off at this Kickoff panel, the main event of WrestleMania 40 remains unclear, with WWE acknowledging the #WeWantCody social media movement, calling for Cody Rhodes to headline the April 6-7 event.
Cody Rhodes addressed this movement in front of the live crowd after WWE Raw went off the air on Monday, which you can read more about right here.
