Here’s what happened with CM Punk and Cody Rhodes after Monday’s (February 19) edition of WWE Raw went off the air.
While CM Punk is currently out of action due to an injury, the former WWE Champion decided to make a special appearance after the live broadcast ended at this week’s Raw taping.
WWE has now shared a video showing Cody Rhodes welcoming CM Punk, who made a quick entrance.
Sporting his arm brace, Punk took to the mic to address the live crowd in Anaheim, California, noting:
“This is a bump in the road and I promise you that next time we are in Anaheim, I will be here and I will have my boots on.”
You can watch the video below.
Cody Rhodes was in action on WWE Raw, losing to Drew McIntyre following interference from Solo Sikoa of the Bloodline. Rhodes is set to challenge for Roman Reigns’ WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at WrestleMania 40.
Punk suffered a torn tricep injury during the January 27 Royal Rumble match. He has since had surgery and started injury rehabilitation.
CM Punk recently confirmed the planned timeline for his return, which you can read more about right here.
