An AEW star has provided an update on their health following an injury scare on last night’s episode of Dynamite.
On last night’s Dynamite show, Madison Rayne made her return to AEW television after six months out of action.
Rayne took on current number one contender for the AEW Women’s World Championship, Deonna Purrazzo.
During the finish for the match, Rayne took a rough bump on her head from Purrazzo before ultimately tapping out to an Ankle Lock, which had a lot of fans concerned about a potential injury.
Taking to Twitter following the show, Rayne said that she was ‘okay’ after the rough spot on Dynamite.
She said:
Hi I’m okay! Thanks so much to everyone who celebrated my Dynamite return & those who checked in on me afterwards.
To those who have never stepped into a ring but tweeted awful things at me w/ zero knowledge of what actually happened- thanks for watching. Have a great day
Rayne last competed on an episode of Ring of Honor on August 9, 2023, defeating Dani Mo.
Purrazzo is set to face AEW Women’s World Champion ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm for the championship at AEW Revolution on March 3.
Hi 🙋🏼♀️ I’m okay! Thanks so much to everyone who celebrated my Dynamite return & those who checked in on me afterwards.
To those who have never stepped into a ring but tweeted awful things at me w/ zero knowledge of what actually happened- thanks for watching. Have a great day 🙃
