A current WWE star has reflected on their match against Sting during their time in AEW ahead of Sting’s retirement at Revolution.
The Icon Sting is set to compete in his final match at tonight’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view, when he teams with Darby Allin to defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against the Young Bucks.
Throughout the day, many people within the wrestling world have paid their respects to Sting, and a former opponent of his has now paid his respects.
Taking to Twitter, former AEW and current WWE star Andrade El Idolo took to Twitter, where he simply shared a photo of his match with Sting and Darby in AEW, where Sting hit a huge dive from the crowd onto Andrade through a table.
The match came as the culmination of a rivalry between Sting and Darby and Andrade’s LFI, where LFI had attempted to recruit Darby away from Sting.
Andrade left AEW in January of this year after his contract expired, and returned to WWE in the 2024 Royal Rumble match.
CM Punk has also sent a message to Sting ahead of tonight’s show, which you can see here.
