Formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE, Mercedes Mone has debuted in AEW at tonight’s ‘Big Business’ edition of Dynamite in Boston.
Kicking off the show straight away with the unannounced – but heavily implied – debut, Mercedes Mone was the very first segment on the show tonight, March 13.
With the Boston crowd very excitedly chanting ‘CEO’ for her arrival along with her new theme music, she got into the ring and cut a passionate promo in front of her hometown crowd.
Saying that she was ‘home’, she thanked the fans for their support over the past two years.
Going on to say that she was in AEW because she needed to be and she wanted to be, Mone said:
“AEW is the only place where the revolution can be global and we are going to make that happen.
“You see I’ve been watching week upon week upon week and everybody in that locker room… whew I can’t wait to tear it up with all of you. “
Mercedes would go on to reveal that tonight’s main event of Dynamite was set to be Willow Nightingale against Riho – and she has “unfinished business” with Willow in particular.
Officially announcing that Mercedes Mone, formerly Sasha Banks in WWE, was All Elite, the crowd chanted ‘CEO’ again as Mercedes thanked Tony Khan and the AEW fans at home.
UPDATE – Mone did appear again at the end of the show, saving Willow Nightingale from Julia Hart and Skye Blue.
