WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther has reached yet another impressive milestone during his championship reign.
Gunther became the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history back in September, and has continued to reign as the champion ever since.
Gunther is set to defend the title against Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, but he has reached yet another impressive milestone during his record setting reign.
Today, the Ring General has officially reached 650 days as the Intercontinental Champion.
Gunther last defended the title against Jey Uso on Raw in February, when Jimmy Uso invaded Raw to cost Jey the match ahead of their singles match at WrestleMania.
An absent WWE star has taken numerous shots at Gunther during their absence from television, seemingly teasing a return feud against the Ring General, which you can see here.
Chad Gable cut a promo on Sami Zayn on this week’s Raw show, where he told Sami that he didn’t believe he could beat Gunther at WrestleMania following his Gauntlet match victory.
Congrats to @Gunther_AUT, he's now hit 650-days as Intercontinental Champion.
