Another WWE star has appeared for a different company at an event during WrestleMania 40 week in Philadelphia.
On the same night as Shayna Baszler’s match at GCW’s Bloodsport X on April 4 against Masha Slamovich, another WWE star has shown up at the very same event.
WWE NXT star, and current Heritage Cup Champion Charlie Dempsey also made a surprise appearance at the show in Philadelphia ahead of WrestleMania 40
Dempsey’s opponent at Bloodsport X has been confirmed to be Matt Makowski.
You can see a short clip of Dempsey making his entrance at GCW Bloodsport X down below.
This is not Dempsey’s first non-WWE appearance, having also previously worked AJPW in late December/January, with those appearances being announced by his legendary father William Regal.
During the short three match spell in Japan, Dempsey competed against Katsuhiko Nakajima for the AJPW Triple Crown, but would fall short in their bout on January 3.
The second-generation star is currently flourishing in NXT as part of the No Quarter Catch Crew alongside Drew Gulak, Myles Borne and Damon Kemp.
