A big update has emerged on WWE’s plans for former STARDOM star Giulia, with the Japanese star set to join WWE.
Amid speculation about Giulia’s next move, and reports indicating that former STARDOM booker Rossy Ogawa and former STARDOM star Giulia were backstage at SmackDown, it has now been reported that Giulia is expected to be reporting to the WWE Performance Center upon completion of her remaining dates.
While there had previously been rumors about WWE potentially bringing Giulia straight to the main roster, this doesn’t appear to be the case with Giulia joining WWE.
Per Fightful Select, NXT sources expect Giulia to eventually report to WWE Performance Center and NXT following her remaining dates, with an immediate main roster debut ruled out.
The report also noted that NXT talent and production staff are expecting Giulia to be at Saturday’s NXT Stand & Deliver event.
While there has reportedly been talk of Giulia being shown in the crowd like previous WWE signees at NXT TakeOver events, Fightful wasn’t able to confirm whether or not this is the plan.
Management are reportedly happy with Giulia’s progress in learning English, and are said to not be concerned about the perception of her being ‘too stiff’ in the ring.
We’ll keep you posted with any further updates.
Stay tuned for all the news during WrestleMania weekend including NXT Stand & Deliver today.
