WWE Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch has opened up about her concerns when writing about WWE in her new book, revealing the important advice she received from Mick Foley.
While Lynch has been successful in the ring recently, The Man has been celebrating the release of a project she completed away from the ring.
Lynch’s new book The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl gives fans a new insight on her life, both behind the scenes in WWE, and away from the company.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Lynch noted that she wrote about WWE with great care, as she wanted to represent everyone accurately.
She explained:
“Anything with WWE I thought needed to be handled with great care because I don’t think you can absent-mindedly write about people that are in the public eye and you have to have a good representation of them and an accurate representation of them … let me try to see the other person’s point of view because these people are in the public eye and you want to represent them in the way that is most honestly.
“Here’s another thing that Mick Foley told me was, never use a book to get back at anybody. Never use it as a revenge tour.
“It’s not fair for me to paint anybody as a villain, especially somebody who doesn’t have the chance to respond, so I really wanted to handle that stuff with care.”
Lynch became the second ever WWE Women’s World Champion on Monday’s (April 22) edition of Raw, winning a battle royal for the title previously held by Rhea Ripley.
Ripley had vacated the gold ahead of a hiatus to recover from an arm injury.
