8. The Kid vs. Razor Ramon – Raw (May 17, 1993)
In the grand scheme of things, this bonkers Cirque de Soleil finish and match as a whole shouldn’t be as memorable as it is considering it is pretty by-the-books stuff but damnit this remains one of the best upsets in WWE history.
During Raw’s potty training years matches between two big stars were often saved for larger events. Thus there were plenty of squash matches and on May 17, 1993 there was no reason to believe this wouldn’t be one of them.
Instead Razor Ramon was beaten by the simply named The Kid, Sean Waltman’s precursor to the 1-2-3 Kid. The Raw audience came unglued and Razor Ramon sold this loss to one of his best friends perfectly. It is a really cool moment and it completely made Waltman’s career.
