10 Biggest WrestleMania Matches In History

1. Hulk Hogan vs. Andre The Giant (WrestleMania 3)

It’s hard for me to fathom that Andre the Giant was an actual human being who existed on this planet. The man has almost become a mythological creature at this point.

So when Andre, who WWF claimed had not been defeated in 15 years, showed up on Piper’s Pit with the weasel that is Bobby Heenan, and challenged the Hulkster for his WWF Championship at WrestleMania, the stage was set.

The myths around this match have been told time and time again over the years, and while it won’t ever be lauded for it’s impeccable workrate, it worked for the 80,000 in the building that night.

The finish though, remains arguably the most iconic moment in WWE history. In fact, it’s literally the very first image you see when you tune into any WWE event, as the opening signature plays.

So yeah, sorry Roman and Brock, I love you both, but you won’t ever be as big as this.
