aaand here’s the match we literally just foreshadowed. The Rock had quite the WrestleMania run for a few years there, the three Austin matches, a WWE Championship main event, and then there is this.

It bewilders many fans to this day how this match did not close the show that night in Toronto, as this Icon vs Icon encounter was the biggest match on the show, the hottest match on the show, and arguably the hottest match of all time.

The crowd was absolutely electric that night, and an instant classic took place. Two of the biggest stars in the history of the business going at it, with the crowd naturally turning their childhood hero babyface in the process.

It also features one of the greatest commentary calls of all time, as Hogan “Hulks Up” on the Rock and hits his iconic Leg Drop as Jim Ross yells “he beat Andre the Giant with that move!”
