5. The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania 25 & 26)
The next few entries will look at matches that took place at multiple different Manias, but all of which were huge matches in their own regard.
First up is the legendary pair of encounters between Dead Mark and his sexy friend Shawn, who had what is widely considered the greatest match in WrestleMania history back at WrestleMania 25.
While that match is epic, arguably bigger in magnitude is their main event from the following year, which saw Shawn Michaels put his career on the line for another chance to crack the Deadman’s streak.
The match main eventing the show a year after we saw them put on arguably the greatest Mania match ever, as well as the looming inevitability of this being the final match of the Heartbreak Kid’s career, meant huge numbers for Vince’s company that night.
And this was the last Shawn Michaels match ever. Ever. He never ever ever wrestled again. Ever.
