10. Dean Ambrose
Before Ambrose went on to become WWE Champion, he wrestled on the indies as Jon Moxley. A veteran of promotions like CZW and Dragon Gate USA, Ambrose also spent a short time as a WWE enhancement talent.
He competed in at least three matches for the company in 2006. He and Brad Taylor lost to MNM on Velocity, he and Dick Rick (all-time great ring name) fell to the Big Show on Heat, and he famously lost to Val Venis on Heat while donning bright pink hair.
