An AEW star reportedly suffered a concussion during a recent match at the company’s AEW Dynasty pay-per-view.
With much of the news headlines being dominated by new AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks and Jack Perry’s attack on AEW President Tony Khan on Dynamite (April 24), we now have an update on a team that also fell victim to the trio at AEW Dynasty – FTR.
FTR fell short in their quest to become the first-ever three-time AEW World Tag Team Champions at Dynasty when they lost in a ladder match to Matthew & Nicholas Jackson – with a massive assist going to the returning ‘Scapegoat’ Jack Perry.
While that defeat is a setback for FTR in terms of AEW TV storytelling, it turns out that the match also unfortunately took its toll on the health of one half of FTR – Dax Harwood.
According to Dave Meltzer’s latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Harwood may be set for a spell on the sidelines.
Meltzer wrote:
Dax Harwood also suffered a concussion during the match.
It’s currently unclear how long Harwood will be off TV, with the 39-year-old yet to publicly confirm his injury status.
WrestleTalk will provide further update on Harwood’s status once it becomes available.
We would also like to extend our well-wishes to Dax Harwood, and hope for a full and safe recovery.
