With the announcement of Dustin Rhodes facing off against his brother at Double or Nothing, the former WWE man has to be considered a potential candidate for the brand’s first champion. Cody, while obviously pushing against wrestling norms, also has a deep respect for wrestling’s past. He also has a lot of respect for his family and what the Rhodes names means to this business.
It’s possible that Cody might want to give his brother a World title, something he never managed in either WWE or WCW. However, I’m fairly certain Dustin Rhodes, aka Goldust, isn’t the man to lead this new promotion into their new television deal.
