10 WWE ‘Main Roster’ Vs. NXT Dream Matches That Would Steal The Show

2. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. #DIY

Two friends. One turns his back on the other, the other vows revenge. After a series of matches, and some time apart, the former NXT Champions reunite. A tale as old as time, this exact situation became the basis for Owens and Zayn’s career defining rivalry.

This narrative repeated itself when Ciampa and Gargano went from Tag Team Champions to bitter enemies. Now that #DIY are back on the same page, it would be even more interesting to see them face the team who did it first.

Now mainstays of Raw and SmackDown, Owens and Zayn came up wrestling the same independent circuit as Ciampa and Gargano. Their accolades show #DIY the heights they could one day reach.

A tag team clash would truly decide which set of best friends would be the future of WWE.

1. Brock Lesnar vs. Tyler Bate

During the Royal Rumble, Brock Lesnar reminded everyone of his dominance. Even past his prime, the ‘Beast’ has competed in some amazing contests against anyone prepared to battle him.

The most entertaining matches the current WWE Champion has are generally against smaller foes. Usually these competitors attempt to steal an upset, but rarely try to grapple.

Being eight inches shorter and weighing over 100 pounds less, the idea of Bate taking on Lesnar seems a mismatch. However, taking the Brit’s insane strength and giant heart into account, the underdog would have more than a fighting chance.

The combination of British technical and American amateur wrestling would give this bout a feeling of complete legitimacy.

Having faced the likes of WALTER, Bate is no stranger to having an opponent tower over him. His fearless nature, clashing with Lesnar’s brutality, would ensure a match between the two would be one for the ages.
