5. Tama Tonga
And speaking of the Bullet Club… Long-serving member of the BC Tama Tonga has finally departed NJPW after 14 years in the promotion.
Tonga has long been a target for WWE, and according to reports that’s where he is expected to land – with the 41-year-old even potentially joining his extended ‘family’ in The Bloodline.
However, until a deal is confirmed nothing can be ruled out, including a switch to AEW instead. Tonga also has a lot of ties to the company through many of it’s top talent from NJPW that now compete under AEW contract.
Most notably being the EVPs The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, who were Tonga’s Bullet Club allies for many years. So, with that said it’s certainly at least a possibility we could see Tonga show up in AEW and The Elite in 2024.
