How is a Buried Alive match possible without suffocating somebody?

Like most magic tricks, there is a fairly simple explanation to it. The ‘grave’ itself is built on a wooden structure then set dressed to look like it is made entirely of grass and mud. When the loser (often The Undertaker) is dumped into the grave, he escapes via a trapdoor that leads into a makeshift room underneath the set.
