Why does the UK never get its own WWE pay-per-view?
@RedDevilBoy2324
It’s down to cost. Flying over an entire production crew, equipment, talent, agents, referees, ring crew, etc is expensive. On top of that, there is the time difference issue, which WWE feels would put off American viewers who are unable to watch live.
Of course, that theory is somewhat dispelled by the success of 2015 Network special Beast In The East, which broadcast live from Japan in an even more unfavorable time zone.
Regardless, WWE clearly feels that running a pay-per-view on British soil would simply not be worth the financial outlay. If they did, they would have done it already.
We think they are wrong: a major pay-per-view such as Royal Rumble or SummerSlam held on UK shores could draw a monster house at Wembley Stadium.
