Gimmick Changes For Several WWE Stars

Baron Corbin is the most recent WWE star that has undergone a gimmick change.

In fact, he went back to his most fondly remembered gimmick, The Lone Wolf, although judging by the latest episode of NXT, it seems like that might have been a one-off and he might be ditching that too to start something completely new.

Whether it be a back-to-the-roots attempt or a completely new gimmick, it could be argued that several stars in WWE are currently in need of something different.

Starting with one that even holds a championship right now…

Austin Theory

A lot of fans believe the current WWE United States Champion’s title reign has grown stale.

He definitely is the future of the company. Luckily he is still young and there is plenty of time for a different approach with Theory altogether.

In NXT, The Way was designed to get the crowd invested into Austin Theory as a human being and it worked. However, when alone, he was back to being the obnoxious heel.

This worked for a while, but it seems to have run its course. Theory has proven in appearances outside of the ring that he could easily be a babyface, and perhaps something more similar to the version of him we saw in The Way, maybe even a full reunion, would do him some good.
