Kenny Omega AEW return opponent: Who will The Cleaner face in his first match following All In London?

Kenny Omega last wrestled at All In London, putting his AEW World Championship on the line against Will Ospreay.

The Aerial Assassin was ultimately victorious, pinning Kenny Omega to win AEW’s top prize in a true passing-of-the-torch moment.

With Omega hinting on numerous occasions that he’s in the tail-end of his pro-wrestling career, every match he has from now on will be significant, with no throwaways.

Unfortunately, this means that there are many more stars who we’d like to see stand across from The Cleaner than The Cleaner probably will wrestle.

From first-time match-ups to long-awaited clashes, here are three stars we could still see Omega face in AEW.

Austin Creed & Kofi – The New Level

With The Elite and the trio formerly known as the New Day being friends for years, and meeting for a Street Fighter V showdown at E3 2018, fans have been waiting for a long time to see the two sides face off.

With Austin Creed and Kofi now with AEW, a match between The Elite and the New Level is now possible.

Whether they face off in trios action – with Swerve Strickland with Creed and Kofi – a two-on-two encounter, or even a singles match, Kenny Omega facing off against the New Level feels inevitable.

Just for old times sake, and following their E3 encounter, it would be fun to see Omega and the Young Bucks challenge for the former WWE stars’ trios title.

Ilja Dragunov

On September 14, Fightful Select reported that Ilja Dragunov was set to join AEW “barring unforeseen circumstances”. 

With Omega and Dragunov being two of the best in-ring workers today, fans would definitely welcome a clash between The Cleaner and The Mad Russian.

Kenny has praised Ilja numerous times in the past, noting in 2024 that the then-NXT Champion was one of his favorite wrestlers to watch.

While Kenny Omega effectively handed the baton to Will Ospreay at All In London, Dragunov defeating Omega in singles action would be another passing-of-the-torch moment, and would make the debutant look like a million bucks.

Kyle Fletcher

In September 2025, Kyle Fletcher brutalized Kenny Omega in the closing moments of Dynamite, driving him through a ringside announce table.

The duo didn’t ever meet in singles action after this attack, with Omega occupied in the AEW World Title scene in recent months, and Fletcher holding the International Championship up until All In London.

Now that both stars have lost their gold, we could see the duo finally face off in singles action.

This match could end with Omega getting his revenge, or Fletcher proving himself as one of the best in the world.
