At long last, Will Ospreay has achieved his dream by becoming the new AEW World Champion in front of his home fans at All In London 2026.

In what was the seventh title change to take place at AEW All In London, Will Ospreay sent his fellow countrymen home happy as he made history inside Wembley Stadium.

Not since the British Bulldog at WWE SummerSlam 1992 has an English wrestler headlined a pay-per-view at Wembley, but even more significant was the fact that a male English wrestler has never won a world championship on English soil.

Ospreay achieved both tonight; outlasting Kenny Omega after a violent back-and-forth battle, filled with near falls, nasty landings and massively invested London crowd.

Keeping up with his recent character change, Omega was oppressive with his offense and certainly did not pull any punches as he dominated much of the first half of the bout.

After Ospreay turned things around in the second half, both stars kicked out of each other’s biggest signature moves – with Omega even getting up at a count of one from Ospreay’s own version of the One Winged Angel and the Storm Breaker.

Despite this leaving Ospreay and the crowd stunned, Omega was spent and left on his knees waiting on Ospreay’s final kill shot – as the Englishman delivered an emphatic Hidden Blade to become the brand new AEW World Champion.

Who Will Dethrone Will Ospreay As AEW World Champion

Now that Will Ospreay has had his crowning moment as AEW World Champion, the obvious question is who he’ll end up dropping the title to later down the road.

Ospreay himself shouldn’t have a short reign, but there are plenty of options for names who could dethrone him in the future.

One of the top options has to be the man who has already held the AEW World Championship more than anyone else in history – Jon Moxley.

Moxley and Ospreay have a storyline going back over the past few months with Ospreay’s involvement in the Death Riders, so a match between them some time soon seems inevitable.

However, it would arguably be better for it to result in another victorious conquering moment for Ospreay rather than Moxley winning the title from him.

Another possibility is MJF, who also has history with Ospreay and has a proven track record of being a top draw for AEW as World Champion.

The most poetic name though might be Kyle Fletcher, whose history with Ospreay predates AEW and who has been on an upward trajectory that should ultimately result in a World Title win.
