AEW stars to sign with WWE AAA: Three new arrivals that could shake up the promotion

With two brand new world champions leading the promotion into 2027 and beyond, it’s an exciting time to be a fan of WWE AAA.

However, with the promotion beginning a new season of sorts following TripleMania 34, we could also see them make an attempt to introduce some exciting new names to the roster.

With rumors abound regarding several potential AEW departures, here are three stars who could potentially depart Tony Khan’s company in favor of a move to WWE AAA.

Dralistico

On September 19, an interesting update emerged regarding the futures of real-life brothers Dragon Lee and Dralistico.

According to the Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez, both Dragon Lee’s WWE contract and Dralistico’s AEW contract are due to expire soon.

As of now there is no word on whether either Lee or Dralistico will be departing their respective employer at the end of their deals, or if one or both are in negotiations to stay put.

With Dragon Lee currently being used better than Dralistico currently is in AEW, there is a chance that we see the brothers reunite in WWE. If they do then one would expect WWE would want them to at least split their time between main roster and AAA. The pair are former AAA World Tag Team Champions, and it was in winning the gold in December 2022 that they wrestled their last match alongside each other as a tag team.

Anthony Bowens

While we await more updates on Dralistico and Dragon Lee’s futures, Anthony Bowens is someone that is seemingly heading for the AEW exit door as his contract with the company is reportedly due to expire in October.

Again, as with Lee and Dralistico, it’s not known whether AEW are in talks to retain Bowens, but what has been reported is that WWE do have “at least some” interest in signing the 35-year-old.

Bowens certainly seems more likely for WWE NXT than AAA, but it would be a nice change of pace to see more new signings sent to Mexico rather than the PC.

RUSH

Although his brother Dralistico’s AEW deal is reportedly due to expire soon, there has been no confirmation that this is also the case for RUSH.

‘El Toro Blanco’ reportedly signed a multi-year extension with AEW back in July 2023, so it would appear as if he is set to remain in the company for now.

The former ROH World Champion has certainly been featured in AEW far more than his brother, and was challenging for the AEW World Title as recently as June. However, he has not been seen on TV since early July, and did miss out on the card of All In London 2026 – with that being the fourth straight year he’s missed the card of AEW’s biggest event.

If Dragon Lee re-signs with WWE, and his brother Dralistico joins him, all eyes will on RUSH to see if he eventually follows suit when his own AEW deal expires. WWE and AAA would certainly be bolstered massively by the arrival of Los Faccion Ingobernables.
