Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight World Title match confirmed for WWE Money in the Bank 2026: ‘I’m gonna whoop his b**ch ass’

After successfully defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Penta in Mexico City, Roman Reigns will officially be putting his gold on the line against LA Knight at WWE Money in the Bank 2026.

Capping off a memorable weekend in Mexico City, Penta challenged Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship in front of a raucous home crowd inside Arena CDMX.

With the past four days seeing four major world title changes across WWE and AAA, it seemed as if Penta was set to make history by dethroning ‘The OTC,’ however, it was ultimately not to be, as Reigns retained the gold and celebrated with it as Raw went off the air.

While that was where the WWE Raw broadcast ended, that was very much not where the night ended for Reigns however, as LA Knight came out to deliver a BFT to his long-time rival.

After being dropped by Knight, Reigns spoke to WWE cameras as he walked back up the ramp, and officially challenged Knight to a World Heavyweight Title match at WWE Money in the Bank 2026 in New Orleans, LA.

Reigns said:

“This is what I’m talking about. I’m sick and tired of it, all these beggars.

“You want it? If he wants it, he can get it. Money in the Bank, New Orleans, down south.

“I’m gonna whoop his bitch ass.”

The last time Reigns and LA Knight met one-on-one in WWE came at Crown Jewel 2023, when ‘The Tribal Chief’ successfully extended his record-breaking Undisputed WWE Title run with thanks to some outside interference from The Bloodline.

Penta vows to earn rematch against Roman Reigns after Mexico City heartbreak

While WWE swiftly moved Reigns’ focus back onto ‘The Megastar’, Penta made sure to remind fans that he’s not done chasing the World Heavyweight Title.

Speaking to WWE cameras backstage after his Raw main event loss, Penta said he was “proud” of his effort, but told ‘The OTC’ that he wants a future rematch.

Penta said:

“First of all I feel so proud, because this is really for me. For all my people to come to this arena in Mexico City, so thank you so much to everyone supporting me tonight. This night was amazing.

“I know now why he is one of the best in the world. And thank you Roman but you know something, I want a rematch… One day I will become a World Heavyweight Champion, I promise you.”
