At long last, LA Knight will receive his one-on-one World Heavyweight Championship opportunity, when he challenges Roman Reigns at WWE Money in the Bank 2026.
Fans are more than ready to see ‘The Megastar’ finally receive his crowning moment, but at the same time it is also hard to see WWE actually pulling the trigger on Knight, given how many times he’s fallen short in the past.
For the same reason they likely didn’t decide to put the belt on Penta last week in Mexico City, the end goal is expected to be Reigns dropping the title to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 43, so they likely won’t diminish that major moment by having Knight take the title off of ‘The OTC’ along the way.
As disappointing as the result will be for LA Knight’s long-suffering fans, WWE may have to find alternative plans for the 43-year-old after October 10.
Here are three potential plans for LA Knight after Money in the Bank 2026:
Leads a WarGames team at Survivor Series against The Bloodline and 946
Roman Reigns has competed in three WarGames matches since the concept debuted on WWE main roster in 2022.
After Crown Jewel has come and gone on November 7, WWE will be heading to Houston, Texas for Survivor Series on November 28.
As has become tradition since 2022, Survivor Series is expected to be headlined by WarGames, only this year they have the opportunity to mix up the formula slightly.
With the ongoing gang warfare between The Bloodline, Royce Keys’ 946 faction and Solo Sikoa & LA Knight, we could potentially see the return of a three-way WarGames match in the main event.
The last time WWE did so was in 2017, but it makes more sense than ever to bring back this year. Rather than forcing Knight and Sikoa to team with either 946 or The Bloodline, it would make far more sense seeing the pair find an extra partner and enter the double cage in a three vs. three vs. three WarGames match.
WWE World Tag Team Title challenge with Solo Sikoa
With the WWE audience loving themselves some Solo Sikoa lately, the company should be going all in on his babyface run and allegiance with LA Knight.
Sikoa and Knight have shown they have some good chemistry, so if ‘The Megastar’ has to move away from the World Heavyweight Title picture for a while, one option to keep him busy would be for he and Solo to turn their attention to the World Tag Team Titles.
The belts are currently held by The Vision’s Austin Theory and Bron Breakker, but WWE would be wise to get the belts off them as soon as possible given that they’ve yet to actually defend them in over two months.
Written off TV due to 946 attack
If WWE are unsure what to do with Knight after yet another major world title setback, they could always have him written off TV for a while.
Certainly not the ideal scenario, but with the 946 running roughshod, it would be at least in character for the group to attack Knight backstage and leave him hurt badly enough that he misses months of action.
Whether his comeback comes ahead of Survivor Series, Wrestlepalooza, or perhaps even the 2027 Royal Rumble in February, Knight could return with revenge on his mind.
