Money In The Bank 2026: different ways WWE stars could make history in New Orleans

WWE Money In The Bank 2026 is just around the corner, taking place on October 10, 2026 in New Orleans.

Most of the line up for this year’s matches has now been finalised, though there are still several spots open to various members of the SmackDown roster.

With that being said, there are a number of WWE stars that could make history in different ways in New Orleans.

Je’von Evans: Youngest Money In The Bank winner

The first WWE star we could see make history at Money In The Bank is Je’von Evans, who will enter the titular Ladder match for the first time in his career.

Born on April 29, 2004, Je’von enters this match at 22 years of age, meaning that if he wins the match, he will officially go down as the youngest Money In The Bank winner in history.

The current youngest winner in history is Austin Theory, who was 24 years old when he won the briefcase back in 2022.

Roxanne Perez: Youngest Money In The Bank winner (Women)

Roxanne Perez is many people’s pick to win the women’s briefcase this year, and interestingly enough she also enters the match at 24 years old, actually only being 5 days older than Theory was when he won the briefcase.

While Roxanne won’t be able to make total history if she does in fact win the case, she will go down as the youngest ever winner of the women’s Money In The Bank ladder match.

The current youngest Miss Money In The Bank is Tiffany Stratton, who won the briefcase in 2024 at 25 years old.

Lola Vice: Fastest Money In The Bank winner

On the September 14 episode of WWE Raw in Mexico City, former NXT Women’s Champion Lola Vice defeated Kelani Jordan and Raquel Rodriguez to qualify for this year’s Ladder match.

Having signed for Raw on this week’s episode of the show, Lola will have only officially been a WWE Raw star for three weeks by the time Money In The Bank rolls around.

If she were to win the case, that’s an almost unbeatable record of fastest time from main roster debut to Money In The Bank victory.

Finn Balor or CM Punk: Oldest Money In The Bank winner

While not always the case, many see the Money In The Bank Ladder match as a young star’s game, with it being many young stars’ first path to a world championship in their career.

However, both CM Punk and Finn Balor are set to compete for the right to be part of this year’s match, as they face off in a qualifier also featuring Gunther this Friday on SmackDown.

In 2010, Kane broke a streak of the briefcase being typically gifted to younger stars, when he became the oldest Mr. Money In The Bank in history at 43 years of age.

If either Punk or Balor were to qualify and win the briefcase, they would officially take the reins as the oldest winner of the match.

CM Punk: Three-time Money In The Bank winner

Being the oldest winner in history isn’t the only way CM Punk can leave New Orleans having made history, as he can reclaim a historical spot that used to belong to him to begin with.

CM Punk became the first two-time Money In The Bank winner back at WrestleMania 25 in 2009, having won it the year prior at WrestleMania 24.

Since then, Seth Rollins has gone on to also become a two-time Money In The Bank Ladder match winner (technically Carmella also did this in 2017, but WWE only recognises her as a one-time winner, and while both Edge and The Miz have also held the case twice, they both defeated the previous holder to win the case instead of winning it in the match itself), with he and Punk now tied for that honor.

If CM Punk qualifies and wins Money In The Bank in New Orleans, he will once again stand alone as a three-time winner, regardless of any technicalities.
