Two new names have been confirmed for this year’s WWE Money In The Bank Ladder matches on tonight’s Raw show.
With Money In The Bank coming up on October 10, qualifiers for this year’s titular Ladder matches have begun in recent weeks on WWE television.
On the men’s side, Bron Breakker, Je’von Evans and Trick Williams have all qualified for the match, while Sol Ruca, Lola Vice and Jacy Jayne have qualified on the women’s side.
Roxanne Perez qualifies for Women’s Money In The Bank Match
Two more qualifiers for the matches took place on tonight’s Raw in San Antonio, Texas, with the first seeing Roxanne Perez, IYO SKY and AAA Reina de Reinas Champion La Catalina face off for the right to earn a spot in the women’s Money In The Bank match in New Orleans.
Roxanne was the one who ended up qualifying for the match, with her pinning Catalina ahead of the pair’s Reina de Reinas Championship match this weekend at WWE x AAA Worlds Collide.
Roxanne will take the final spot from the Raw brand in the women’s match, joining Sol Ruca and Lola Vice, with Jacy Jayne and two other SmackDown stars also set to compete.
This will be Roxanne’s second Money In The Bank match, with her qualifying for last year’s match, and her being the only current participant in the women’s match to have been in the match previously.
Penta qualifies for Men’s Money In The Bank Match
The main event of the show was scheduled to see Dominik Mysterio, Solo Sikoa and Dragon Lee face off for the final Raw spot in the men’s match, but chaos took place before the match had even begun.
Backstage, Solo Sikoa was ambushed and kidnapped by Royce Keys and OTM of the 946, taking him out of action for his previously announced Money In The Bank qualifier.
However, Adam Pearce would then announce that Penta would be replacing Solo in the qualifier, with him pinning Dominik Mysterio to earn the final Raw spot in the men’s match alongside Je’von Evans and Bron Breakker.
The SmackDown side of the men’s match will see Trick Williams in the match, as well as one of Finn Balor, CM Punk or Gunther and a sixth name yet to be determined.
