Liv Morgan calls WWE Women’s World Championship loss ‘the Santiago Screwjob’

After dropping the WWE Women’s World Championship to Stephanie Vaquer in Chile, Liv Morgan made her feelings about the loss clear.

In a segment on WWE Raw September 21, Liv Morgan made it clear that her goal was still to reclaim the title that she recently lost – despite the fact it was swindled away from her in the first place.

Beginning her thoughts with noting that there was a lot for the Judgment Day to be grateful for, Liv Morgan didn’t shy away from sharing her thoughts on her WWE Women’s World Championship loss.

‘The Santiago Screwjob’

Giving a passion promo about her loss, Liv Morgan made it clear that she didn’t take the blame for the loss but rather set her sights on the pair she believed were responsible.

Referring to her loss as ‘The Santiago Screwjob,’ Morgan would blame referee Becky Lynch for the loss, accusing the duo of being in on a conspiracy against her.

Vowing to reclaim her WWE Women’s World Championship, much to Liv’s chagrin she was confronted by the aforementioned Lynch.

“You found out it’s a lot harder to keep a title when you actually defend it”

Joining the conversation, Becky Lynch took the opportunity to deliver several savage thoughts including telling Judgment Day member JD McDonagh:

“Jordan Devlin McDonagh. I talked to your mother, and she is stressed that her only son is out here dressed in gangwear, playing towel boy to a bunch of inept dopes, and getting owned by a funko pop head.”

Turning her attention back to the former champ Lynch told Liv Morgan, Lynch delivered the line:

“You found out it’s a lot harder to keep a title when you actually defend it”

Stephanie Vaquer won WWE Women’s World title in her hometown

In what would end up being a legendary title change that happened off of WWE TV, Stephanie Vaquer would have an incredible return to her hometown of Santiago, Chile earlier this month.

Taking on Liv Morgan, Vaquer happened to have some help from an interesting referee for the bout: Becky Lynch.

Further cementing the trio engaged in an on-going feud, there was an important revelation from the WWE Women’s World Champion when she made it clear that she was willing to take on both Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch.

On-going feud could result in Triple-Threat match

On the September 21 edition of WWE Raw, Stephanie Vaquer didn’t shy away from the notion of being a fighting champion, taking the chance to also throw a dig at Morgan.

Noting that she wasn’t afraid to defend the title, she was already accepting a re-match from Liv Morgan and was planning on giving Becky Lynch a title shot as well.

Potentially signaling that a triple-threat match could be ahead for the trio at the next WWE PLE, Money in the Bank on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
