4. Survivor Series – WWE Cruiserweight Championship – Buddy Murphy (c) vs. Mustafa Ali
I know I said Survivor Series was meaningly (because it was) but there was at least one match that had some gravity to it. The one and only title on the line all night was the WWE Cruiserweight Championship it was fantastic.
Current champ Buddy Murphy showed off his power and athleticism while Mustafa Ali really illustrated why he is known as the ‘Heart of 205 Live‘. There were spots aplenty and the two men managed to turn a relatively quiet crowd into one chanting “205” and “This is awesome.” Not bad at all.
This was simply another showcase for the purple brand that announced loud and clear: “we are better.” Bored of watching three hours of Raw and only seeing, at best, three bad matches and one mediocre one? You can watch two absolute belters each and every week on 205 Live in a single hour. Tired of seeing deserving talent constantly mishandled on SmackDown Live? 205 Live is the show that made a legitimate top star out of Buddy Murphy who has now stolen two main roster pay-per-views.
