WWE
Today, WWE officially announced that Club WWE members were able to vote for a cover athlete for next year’s WWE 2K27 video game.
With the game likely already deep into development, there are a number of new faces that we could see join next year’s roster.
Here are some likely new additions to the WWE 2K27 roster.
Kendal Grey

Over the past year, Kendal Grey has burst onto the scene as the next big breakout star in the WWE women’s division.
During 2k26’s development, Kendal already had made some waves in WWE Evolve as the Evolve Women’s Champion, but was yet to officially debut on the NXT roster.
With her now at the top of NXT’s women’s roster, she will make her debut in next year’s video game as one of the marquee new additions.
Paige

Making her return to WWE back at WrestleMania 42, Paige’s return came just after the release of WWE 2k26, with her missing out on the potential of being DLC for the game by a month.
With Paige now back in the fold, next year will see Paige make her return to WWE games for the first time since WWE 2k20.
Paige debuted in WWE 2k15 as part of the season pass, appearing in every game until her departure from the company.
Zilla Fatu

Recently making his debut in NXT, Zilla Fatu is a name that many WWE fans had been waiting to see debut for the company.
With the obvious Bloodline link, Zilla will likely be a priority from the 2K developers to be featured in the base roster for 2k27.
Zilla may end up already being on the main roster by the time the game releases.
Lainey Reid

Joining Fatal Influence on NXT television last year following the departure of Jazmyn Nyx, Lainey Reid just missed out on the cut for the WWE 2k26 roster.
However, a year later and Lainey is already a champion on the WWE main roster, holding the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Fallon Henley on SmackDown.
2k27 will be Lainey’s first video game, and she will debut as a main roster star.
Cruz Montana

After leaving TNA, Mike Santana, now Cruz Montana, recently joined the NXT roster, with him being one of the biggest signings to the division in a long time.
With Cruz already among the top names on the NXT brand, he will likely be another name added to the roster for next year’s game.
Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin is barely a new addition to the WWE 2k27 roster, with him returning to the company just over a year after his departure.
Corbin remained part of the 2k25 roster despite departing the company two months before it’s release, with 2k26 being the first game since 2k15 not to feature Corbin on the roster.
That will once again change next year, when the former United States Champion makes his return to WWE games after just a year away.
Big Cass

Baron Corbin isn’t the only former star to recently make their return to WWE, as Big Cass made his return to WWE on the Raw after SummerSlam 2026.
Cass’ time away from WWE is a lot longer than Corbin’s, with Cass only previously featuring in WWE 2k16, 2k17 and 2k18.
Next year will mark the first game in nine years that Big Cass will be among the roster.
OTM

OTM are a weird case of two names that have been part of the NXT roster for a while, but were inexplicitly left out of the roster for both 2k25 and 2k26.
However, OTM finally graduated from NXT last month, when they debuted on Raw alongside Royce Keys in the new 946 faction.
With OTM now on the main roster, 2k27 will likely finally be the game that Bronco Nima and Lucien Price make the roster.
Naraku

Naraku was the leader of the House of Torture stable during his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling
After leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling at the beginning of the year, Naraku made his debut for the NXT brand following WrestleMania 42.
Already challenging for the NXT Championship on numerous occasions, Naraku will be one of this year’s big international signings that makes their first WWE games appearance.
Naraku won’t be the only former NJPW star to debut in WWE 2k27 however.
Kyoki

A new tag team has arrived on SmackDown in recent weeks, that being the Bakusai duo of Shinsuke Nakamura and the debuting Kyoki.
Kyoki, the former Hiromu Takahashi, is a wrestler who will have a very unique moveset and play style in WWE 2k27 and will make for a great addition to the roster.
La Catalina

After WWE purchased AAA last year, this year’s game saw the addition of a lot of AAA stars through it’s various DLC seasons, with names like Flammer, El Hijo del Vikingo, La Parka, Mr Iguana and more now added to the roster.
In terms of new faces from AAA for next year’s game, the most obvious choice would be La Catalina, who only debuted for WWE back in April following the release of 2k26.
There are other names from AAA we could see added to the roster, but most of the primary featured acts will already be accounted for following this year’s DLC.
Catalina is the most notable omission that will be amended next year.
Other NXT Names

NXT has been in a very unique situation this year, as the roster has undergone a lot of changes following a series of main roster call ups.
There are a lot of new faces on the NXT roster, all of who could be featured on the roster for 2k27, but are far from guaranteed.
Among the NXT names that could potentially join the roster are:
Arianna Grace
The Vanity Project (Jackson Drake, Brad Baylor, Ricky Smokes & Myka Lockwood)
DarkState (Cutler James, Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin)
Dorian Van Dux
EK Prosper
Elio LeFleur
Kali Armstrong
Kam Hendrix
Keanu Carver
Lizzy Rain

Romeo Moreno
Saquon Shugars
