Predicting The Card For AEW Revolution 2025

Share

AEW Revolution 2025

With AEW Worlds End now in the books, the company will look to assemble the cards for the next two major shows to kick off 2025.

All Elite Wrestling’s first big events to stream live on Max will be Grand Slam from Australia in February and Revolution from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

While the Grand Slam show will be a big one being the first in Australia, Revolution is traditionally one of the biggest shows of the year for AEW and was pushed heavily during Worlds End.

With a look to the future and what could be in store in March, here are our predictions for the card for AEW Revolution 2025.

Swerve Strickland Vs. Ricochet

AEW's Swerve Strickland and Ricochet

The 2024 AEW Continental Classic might be remembered most for Ricochet’s heel turn and the reaction of the fans to him.

From the toilet paper greetings in Hammerstein to the “you’re bald” chants, the former WWE star has discovered a new version of his character in All Elite Wrestling.

Along the way, Ricochet has also crossed paths with an old rival in Swerve Strickland who took pleasure in embarrassing him following his loss in the C2 Semifinals at Worlds End.

This toilet paper showering should lead to a new edge being revealed by Ricochet in a vicious attack on Strickland that leads to a showdown at Revolution in LA.

Hangman Adam Page Vs. Orange Cassidy

AEW's Orange Cassidy and Hangman Page

The AEW Worlds End main event saw Jon Moxley retain the AEW World Championship in a four-way against Jay White, Orange Cassidy and Hangman Adam Page.

During the course of the match, Cassidy had the match won when Hangman pulled the referee out of the ring, while Page had victory in his grasp with no referee in sight before OC rolled him up as soon as a new official appeared.

The low blow response from Page should signal at a feud between these two AEW originals. Despite being involved in this world title program, Orange and Hangman have not interacted much in their five years in the company.

This showdown seems like a clash of personalities with the more laid back OC facing off with an unhinged and angry Hangman who will want revenge for feeling wronged by someone else.

TNT Championship – Daniel Garcia (c) vs. Bobby Lashley

During the AEW Continental Classic, Daniel Garcia found himself at odds with Shelton Benjamin and The Hurt Syndicate.

In Blue League action, Garcia was able to pull out a victory over Benjamin after a bout that was dominated by the former WWE Intercontinental Champion. This should lead to a title bout between the two, but that may be saved for television to make room for a bigger clash for the pay-per-view in Los Angeles.

After his dominating win over Swerve Strickland at Full Gear, Bobby Lashley has not been in action since and should get a showcase at Revolution.

Garcia would be facing his biggest challenge yet as TNT Champion, facing off with a bonafide heavyweight competitor and former four-time world champion across three companies.

TBS Championship – Mercedes Mone (c) Vs. Kris Statlander Vs. Willow Nightingale

Mercedes Mone on AEW Dynamite TBS Championshpi celebration

Mercedes Mone and Kris Statlander stole the show again with another thrilling encounter at AEW Worlds End. Despite being taken to the limit by Statlander once again, it was Mone who retained the TBS Championship, but this shouldn’t be the end of this amazing rivalry.

These two ladies have not only made magic with each other though. They have also put on some of the best women’s matches in AEW history with Willow Nightingale in 2024.

AEW should capitalize on the success of Mone and Statlander’s stellar pay-per-view bouts by throwing Nightingale in the mix for a three-way.

The latest story that has seen Statlander tentatively look for forgiveness from her former friend could smoothly transition to this scenario that puts them both against the TBS Champion at Revolution.

AEW World Tag Team Championships – Private Party (c) vs. The Young Bucks – Two-Out-Of-Three Falls Match

AEW Tag Team Champions Private Party

After finally winning the AEW World Tag Team Championships on Fright Night Dynamite in October, Private Party have not been regularly featured on Dynamite and only somewhat appearing on Collision.

The company has to make a better effort in presenting Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen in a more prominent role in 2025 and it should start with big PPV matches.

In Los Angeles at Revolution, there is no better choice to put against the reigning champions than the only three-time AEW World Tag Team Champions, who also just happen to be from the area.

Running back Private Party vs. The Young Bucks could look like retread, but adding in a stipulation like two-out-of-three falls along with a red hot LA crowd could do the trick in recapturing the magic from their title win.

Kenny Omega vs. Jack Perry – Lights Out Match

AEW's The Elite with Kenny Omega on a stretcher

At AEW Worlds End, wrestling fans rejoiced when Kenny Omega made his return to All Elite Wrestling to confront Kazuchika Okada after his win the Continental Classic Final.

While Revolution would be a proper stage for Okada vs. Omega V, their stare-down at Worlds End indicated that AEW may wait for their huge stadium show at All In Texas in July.

With that mind, the company should not wait until then to have Omega’s first big match back though. It only makes sense for him to get a win at Revolution over someone he has unfinished business with.

On the May 1, 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite, Jack Perry led the charge for The Elite in a dastardly attack on Omega in his hometown of Winnipeg. AEW could give an Omega vs. Perry bout an added boost by adding a Lights Out stipulation to make this a spectacle at Revolution 2025.

AEW International Championship – Konosuke Takeshita (c) Vs. Will Ospreay

Konosuke Takeshita has been building massive momentum as the AEW International Championship since capturing the gold at WrestleDream.

While Ospreay has been busy with Kyle Fletcher, Don Callis and the Continental Classic, it would be foolish to believe he has forgotten about Takeshita taking his gold with the help of the Don Callis Family.

With Ospreay evening things up with Fletcher at Worlds End and a possible third match in Australia at Grand Slam, The Aerial Assassin can move on from his former protege and refocus on the title he wanted to put on the map.

Ospreay and Takeshita delivered a match of the year candidate at Revolution 2024. One year later, they could outdo themselves with an even more spectacular encounter in Los Angeles for the AEW International Championship.

Toni Storm Vs. Mariah May in a Steel Cage Match for the AEW Women’s World Championship

AEW stars Toni Storm and Mariah May

Since returning to AEW at Winter Is Coming, many fans and wrestlers have been perplexed with Toni Storm’s newest persona.

Completely forgetting her past in AEW, Storm believes she is a rookie upstart who just came to the company and wants to work her way to the top.

This should lead to the rookie picking up wins on the way to Grand Slam in her home country of Australia where she challenges Mariah May for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

If Storm wins, it may reawaken the Timeless persona and set up an even more brutal third meeting between the former mentor and protege. A Steel Cage Match at Revolution would deliver a climatic conclusion to this Hollywood tale.

Jon Moxley vs. Adam Copeland for the AEW World Championship

The ending of AEW Worlds End set the stage for what should be the headliner for AEW Revolution this coming March.

Adam Copeland’s return alongside FTR saw the WWE Hall of Famer spear AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and put a chair leg assisted crossface on him.

With the trios match between The Death Riders and Rated FTR set for the January 1 edition of AEW Dynamite, it should see Copeland once again get the better of Moxley and his stable.

Grand Slam looks to be a stage for possibly Jay White to challenge, given the event being close to his home of New Zealand, so if Moxley can survive the Switchblade, he should expect The Rated R Superstar to be waiting for him come LA at Revolution.
