Predicting The Card For WWE NXT Great American Bash 2026

On June 2, Shawn Michaels announced that WWE NXT will hold their first premium live event on The CW Network with Great American Bash 2026 just under four weeks later on Sunday, June 28.

Considering this will be a historic show for the brand, it should have some huge matches on the card for this night.

From championship gold being on the line to major grudge matches, The Great American Bash will be a special evening for the NXT brand.

Here are our predictions for the card for WWE NXT Great American Bash 2026.

NXT Women’s Championship: Lola Vice (c) vs. Kendal Grey

On the March 31 edition of WWE NXT, Lola Vice and Kendal Grey went to a draw after a double pinfall in their number one contenders match for the NXT Women’s Championship.

Then at WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2026, Vice defeated Grey and Jacy Jayne to win the title.

Since then, Grey has been chasing the champion and wanting a rematch to settle the score between the two women.

Now with her number one contenders match against Kelani Jordan scheduled for the June 9 NXT, this should lead to Grey moving on to challenge Vice for the NXT Women’s Championship at The Great American Bash 2026 event.

Saquon Shugars vs. Dion Lennox

On the May 19 episode of WWE NXT, The Vanity Project defeated Dark State to retain the NXT Tag Team Championships.

After the match, Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin and Cutler James turned on Saquon Shugars and excommunicated him from Darkstate.

Following months of dissension with one another, Lennox and Shugars feel like they are on a collision course with one another after Darkstate’s decision.

With Shugars attacking Darkstate following his excommunication, this should lead to Shugars battling Lennox in a grudge match at the WWE NXT Great American Bash 2026 premium live event.

NXT Tag Team Championships: The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) (c) vs. O.T.M. (Lucien Price & Bronco Nima)

Since making their return to WWE NXT, O.T.M. have been focused on one goal and one goal only, which is winning the NXT Tag Team Championships.

Meanwhile, The Vanity Project have reigned over the NXT tag team division over the past few months.

Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes feel like a well oiled machine in the ring together, while Lucien Price and Bronco Nima have been highly motivated and want to finally win the big one in NXT.

O.T.M. challenging The Vanity Project would make for a highly anticipated NXT Tag Team Championship match for NXT Great American Bash 2026 on June 28.

NXT North American Championship: Myles Borne (c) vs. Jackson Drake

Myles Borne has more than proven himself to be a formidable champion coming off the heels of his win over Johnny Gargano at WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2026.

Since winning the gold in February, Borne has made it clear that he is ready for anyone who steps up to challenge him for the gold.

Meanwhile, Jackson Drake has been riding a lengthy winning streak ever since aligning himself with Myka Lockwood.

Wanting to bring more gold to The Vanity Project, Drake could make for an ideal challenger for Borne’s NXT North American Championship at the Great American Bash 2026 PLE.

NXT Women’s North American Championship: Tatum Paxley (c) vs. Zaria vs. Lizzy Rain

The most prolific champion in NXT at this time is Tatum Paxley, who has recorded the most successful title defenses on the brand this year.

Ever since dispatching of her former tag team partner and friend Sol Ruca from the brand, Zaria has made it perfectly clear that she has her sights set on the NXT Women’s North American Championship.

However, there is another contender that might want to insert themselves into this potential battle and that is Lizzy Rain.

With Paxley set to defend her NXT Women’s North American Title against Zaria on the June 9 episode, it might lead to a three-way with both ladies and Rain on June 28 at The Great American Bash 2026.

NXT Championship: Tony D’Angelo (c) vs. Naraku

Another huge match on the June 9 edition of WWE NXT will see Naraku face Mason Rook with the winner getting in line for a shot at the NXT Championship.

Since his arrival on the NXT brand, the former EVIL in NJPW has been focused on the top prize on Tuesday nights.

With a win over Rook, Naraku can finally set the stage for a showdown with “The Don of NXT.”

Tony D defending the NXT Championship against Naraku at The Great American Bash feels like a worthy headliner for the first PLE to air live on national television on Sunday, June 28.
