Predicting The WrestleMania 35 Match Card

Notable Entrants- Carmella, Lacey Evans, Natalya, Nia Jax, Nikki Cross, Naomi, R-Truth (wait), The Riott Squad and Tamina.

Besides from the controversial initial name of the match and the unfortunate design of the trophy, last year’s Woman’s Battle Royal was extremely forgettable.

Naomi won the match and did absolutely nothing with the momentum. In fact, the ending of the match was more about progressing the story between Sasha Banks and Bayley than it was about Naomi having an impressive showing.

I predict that R-Truth will enter the Women’s Battle Royal and eventually eliminate Nia Jax, a form of retribution for Jax jumping Truth at the Royal Rumble and taking his spot in the match. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE wants to slowly introduce inter-gender wrestling, and this could be a fun yet strategic way to do so.

When it comes to the winner, I predict that a debuting Bianca Belair will have an impressive showing in the match and outlast all of the other women to come out on top. Belair lost out to Shayna Baszler at NXT Takeover: Phoenix in January and it appears she has little else to do in NXT. A win here would give her a load of momentum for her debut on Raw the following night, or Smackdown two days later, and seems she seems like the smart pick here.
