Ahead of his participation in the “Last Time Is Now” Tournament, WWE’s Sheamus was ruled out due to a significant shoulder injury that required surgery.
Now out of action since November, fans should expect “The Celtic Warrior” make his return sooner rather than later.

7. Challenging Penta To Finally Capture WWE Intercontinental Championship
The one unfinished story for Sheamus in WWE seems to be his quest to finally become the Intercontinental Champion.
While Sheamus has accomplished pretty much everything he can in WWE, he has never been able to capture the IC Title.
“The Celtic Warrior” has had so many memorable matches for the Intercontinental Championship over the years without being able to win the gold.
With Penta now holding the gold, this would make for a highly compelling battle for the IC Championship whenever Sheamus makes his way back to the company.
6. Joining Forces With Finn Balor Against The Judgment Day
Sheamus has found himself opposing The Judgment Day on several different occasions over the past few years.
Recently, The Judgment Day turned their back on Finn Balor after years of disagreements and dissension with Dominik Mysterio.
Balor now finds himself outnumbered by his former stablemates, which could make for an intriguing alliance with his fellow Irishman.
Sheamus returning to align with Balor against The Judgment Day could make for a fascinating story to tell as they try to take down the group once and for all.
5. Rekindling Rivalry With GUNTHER For WrestleMania
Heading into WrestleMania 42, one of the notable omissions when it comes to stories is GUNTHER right now.
Over the past year, “The Ring General” has retired John Cena, Goldberg and AJ Styles, earning the moniker of “The Career Killer.”
Considering how long Sheamus has been in WWE, GUNTHER could look at him as the next legend he needs to put out to pasture.
Sheamus coming back to rekindle his rivalry with GUNTHER would be a guaranteed show stealer if placed on the WrestleMania 42 card and deliver a definitive end to their rivalry that started back in 2022.
