The first two confirmed entrance in this year’s Money In The Bank Ladder matches next month have been revealed.
With WWE Money In The Bank set to take place in New Orleans next month, WWE announced that qualifying matches for this year’s titular matches were set to begin on tonight’s Raw show.
Earlier today, the qualifying matches were announced, with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce announcing the men’s qualifier as Bron Breakker vs. Ethan Page vs. Rey Mysterio, and the women’s qualifier as Sol Ruca vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Maxxine Dupri.
Bron Breakker & Sol Ruca Qualify For Money In The Bank
The first qualifying match that took place on the show was the men’s match, which saw Bron Breakker pick up the win to become the first confirmed entrant in the men’s Money In The Bank Ladder match.
In the women’s match, Sol Ruca would end up scoring the victory after Bayley made her return to take out Lyra Valkyria to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder match.
This will be the first time both Bron and Sol compete in a Money In The Bank Ladder match.
Who Else Will Qualify For Money In The Bank?
During a promo segment on tonight’s WWE Raw, both Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez of the Judgment Day noted that they will be in qualifying matches to earn a spot in the women’s Money In The Bank Ladder match.
WWE’s insistence to have the women’s division revolve around the Judgment Day would lead us to believe that both Roxanne and Raquel could qualify for the match, with the descension between them leading to the finish as one turns on the other.
However, there are other major names that would miss out if the two Judgment Day members both qualified on the Raw end, notably IYO SKY, Becky Lynch and Bayley.
On the SmackDown side, there are also many women who would make for great additions to the match such as Jacy Jayne, Blake Monroe, Lash Legend, Giulia, Tiffany Stratton and Tatum Paxley, all of whom would be great options to put in the match, though only three would be able to qualify.
On the men’s side, there are a lot of young high flying wrestlers that would stand out in the match, including Je’von Evans, Carmelo Hayes and Penta, as well as other rising stars like Trick Williams and Jacob Fatu, as well as more established names like Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, LA Knight or even Cody Rhodes.
