A WWE star has made their return on tonight’s episode of Raw following recent speculation about their future.
At Saturday Night’s Main Event in Madison Square Garden, Lyra Valkyria picked up the win over Bayley in her first match since turning heel, before laying her out after the match with a Nightwing on the steel steps.
The angle was used to write Bayley off television, which came at a time when there was a lot of speculation about her future with the company.
It was reported that Bayley’s contract with WWE was set to expire at the end of 2026, with a lot of speculation about whether she would stay with the company or be the latest veteran name to leave the company.
After months of speculation, it was reported last week that Bayley is believed to be staying with WWE, and creative plans had been put in place for her on the Raw brand.
Bayley Returns On WWE Raw
Earlier today, it was noted that Bayley was expected to return on tonight’s WWE Raw show, and she made sure to make her presence felt in a major way.
Qualifying matches for the Money In The Bank Ladder matches begun on tonight’s WWE Raw show, with the women’s qualifying match consisting of Maxxine Dupri, Sol Ruca and Lyra Valkyria.
Bayley would end up making her return during the match, with her taking out Lyra Valkyria, costing her a spot in the Money In The Bank Ladder match and allowing Sol Ruca to pick up the victory to qualify.
Bayley’s Future Is No Longer In Question
With Bayley seemingly remaining with WWE, not only should her booking on the show reflect her legacy and talent, but she should also be a valuable asset behind the scenes.
Hosting her Lodestone women’s seminars, Bayley has proven she has a great mind for the industry, and would be a great help training the next generation of women’s wrestlers, both by working with them on screen and working with them behind the scenes.
Bayley also continues to advocate for the growth of women’s wrestling during a time where WWE’s booking of it’s division is incredibly stagnant, with her new position in the company hopefully giving her more of a voice behind the scenes for the entire women’s roster.
