Bayley WWE Status Major Update

There has been a major update on Bayley’s WWE status amid ongoing speculation about her future ahead of her contract expiration.

Back at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Madison Square Garden, Lyra Valkyria would defeat Bayley in her first match following her heel turn, before continuing the attack on her after the match.

With reports of Bayley’s WWE contract coming up before the end of the year, many had speculated that the attack from Lyra could have been used as a write off for Bayley.

In the weeks since, Lyra has continued to mention Bayley on television, which would imply that WWE at least expects her to be back in the fold, though nothing has been made official yet.

Bayley To Remain With WWE

After weeks of speculation, there was a major update on Bayley’s WWE status today from PWInsider Elite (subscription required).

Per PWInsider, Bayley is expected to be remaining with WWE, with there being creative pitches for her return to the Raw brand.

Bayley is reportedly expected to be back on the road very soon. likely within the next few weeks.

WWE has announced that Money In The Bank qualifiers are set to begin on next week’s episode of Raw.

Bayley’s Value To WWE

With the way TKO has been negotiating contracts over the past year, the concern that they would not value Bayley as highly as she should be valued was a genuine one given we have seen the New Day and Sheamus leave the company in recent months.

As well as being among the best in the WWE women’s division, Bayley’s value as a veteran hand to help work with and elevate the younger women on the roster is second to none, and would have been a massive blow for their development if they didn’t have her to work with.

Bayley is also hosting her Lodestone events, which help create the future stars of women’s wrestling, which would be a good thing to have under the WWE umbrella as it’s women’s division continues to shine.

From an on-screen perspective, Bayley now has a number of new faces to work against, including a singles program with Roxanne Perez, Jacy Jayne, Blake Monroe, Stephanie Vaquer and Tatum Paxley, as well as other names waiting to come up from NXT.
