Bayley WWE Future Major Update

An update has emerged on former WWE Women’s Champion Bayley, with details emerging amid speculation about her in-ring future.

Bayley hasn’t wrestled on WWE TV since losing to Lyra Valkyria on the July 18 Saturday Night’s Main Event special, and hasn’t stepped into the ring since the July 26 house show in Bakersfield, California.

There have been a lot of rumors swirling about Bayley’s status in recent weeks. Speculation about the former champion potentially leaving the company arose following reports that more departures could be coming in October, and with Bayley’s deal reportedly up before the end of 2026.

We have now had a new update on Bayley’s WWE future, ahead of Monday’s (September 7) edition of Monday Night Raw.

Per PWInsider Elite (subscription required), Bayley is expected to return to WWE Raw this week. This comes after the platform’s previous report that there had been some creative pitches for her on the red brand.

Many fans would’ve previously thought of Bayley as a “WWE lifer”, however following the exits of the likes of Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Sheamus, and recent contract restructuring, many believe that WWE lifers don’t exist anymore.

Woods and Kingston – now Austin Creed and Kofi – recently made their AEW debuts, teaming with Swerve Strickland to win the Trios Championship at All In London.

After signing with AEW, Austin and Kofi confirmed reports that they rejected offers with pay cuts, noting that these cuts would’ve been “more than 50%”.

With TKO “negotiating” many stars’ contracts, some fans were concerned that the company would not see value in Bayley for her price point. This thought is absurd to some, with Bayley not only being talented in the ring and on the mic, but also proving herself as a mentor and coach with her Lodestone training events.

Bayley would likely be spoiled for choice if she was looking to move on, having friends in numerous promotions.

AEW Women’s World Champion Mercedes Mone recently reiterated that Bayley is her best friend in wrestling, and recalled attending a WrestleMania event in disguise to support her former tag-team partner.

It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for Bayley, given that creative pitches have been made, indicating that she is being brought back with purpose.
