3. Intercontinental Championship – GUNTHER (c) VS. The Miz

Similarly to Ripley vs Stark, The Ring General GUNTHER’s Intercontinental Title defence against The Miz appears predictable on paper.

However, I must say WWE have at least kind of got me to at least carry a semblance of doubt going into this prediction, which is something I never ever thought I’d say about a match between GUNTHER and the A-Lister.

The story of Miz being disrespected and bullied, not only by GUNTHER but also pretty much throughout his entire life gives him some real babyface sympathy, which again is something I never expected to say.

Miz as a babyface has often been horrendous, yet, this time around it feels far more natural. Couple this with the fact that Miz is just one IC Title win away from equalling Chris Jericho’s nine title reigns makes the result at least partially in doubt.

Despite all of that, I do not expect Miz to pull off the unthinkable here. I do expect WWE to have me believing at points it could be possible, but GUNTHER has simply done too much with the title for it to end at the hands of The Miz I’m afraid.
