Top 10 Wrestlers Of 2020 – WrestleTalk Awards

2. Kenny Omega

The current AEW World Champion Kenny Omega has ranked as the second-best wrestler in 2020, narrowly missing out on the top spot.

Kenny Omega has been involved in some of the best matches of the year, including the fantastic tag match at Revolution, the cinematic Stadium Stampede match, and his recent clash at Full Gear last month with Adam Page.

His storylines have also been superb, with the break-up of The Elite having some of the most subtle and deep storytelling that wrestling has ever seen. His recent work as The Belt Collector with Don Callis will hopefully set him up for an even better 2021.

While 2019 may not have been Kenny Omega’s best year, 2020 saw the return of The Cleaner, and sees Kenny Omega take his place once again as one this industry’s best wrestlers.

1. Drew McIntyre

After having an up-and-down 2019, Drew McIntrye has been voted as the best wrestler of 2020 by those polled by WrestleTalk, an accomplishment that he is more than deserving of.

Drew McIntyre started the year by eliminating Brock Lesnar from the Royal Rumble, before going on to win the match. He is set to end the year as the WWE Champion after a stellar year of matches and storylines.

In what has been an incredibly tough year for wrestling, Drew McIntyre has more than held his own as a reliable part of WWE TV, holding the WWE Championship for the majority of the year.

Drew has had great PPV matches and feuds with the likes of Seth Rollins and Randy Orton, and even helped elevate the likes of Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Lashley into world title contenders.

A reliable wrestler for WWE both inside and outside of the ring, Drew McIntyre has had a fantastic 2020, and will hopefully have an even better 2021 when fans are allowed to hopefully return to shows over the next few months.
