How would you rate the show overall? (From best to worst: SmackDamn, SmackTastic, Smack Bang in the Middle, Ellsworthy and a Smack in the Face)

High Smack Bang in the Middle. Three good matches were on this show, but nothing jaw-dropping. I enjoyed Becky and Charlotte’s segment, but it was nothing spectacular. I think it is a good idea to have a heel Aiden, and Randy watching himself was interesting, but nothing knocked my socks off. Another good episode of SmackDown Live, but the Miz and Bryan segment and Asuka vs Kay dragged this down to a 3.5/5 for me. Still an enjoyable show nevertheless.

A high Smack Bang in the Middle. There were good matches tonight, and even the backstage promos were interesting. I’m surprised Randy Orton didn’t try to make the production guy shake his hand while he was at it. AJ Styles had a fantastic match with Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas, although the concept of a title match with him at that point made no sense in the scheme of things. Becky Lynch is a savage as a heel and I love it. Overall, tonight’s episode kept my attention, and every segment had depth to it (minus Asuka vs. Billie Kay).

I’m giving this one a SmackTastic. Three good matches with Rusev / Nakumura, AJ / Almas, and Cesaro / Kofi. Becky was great. Orton was creepy. I didn’t want a Rusev Day breakup, but English’s beat down was aggressive and promising. Joe attacking Styles after the match was simple but effective storytelling. However, I’m still looking at Asuka and Daniel Bryan and I’m left thinking “really? Really, WWE?” Those two deserve better.

It took a while for last night’s Smackdown to get rolling. Miz and Bryan’s scuffle feels like it’s overstayed its welcome and the disintegration of Rusev Day lacked any punch. But once we rounded the midpoint, things started to pick up. AJ and Almas put on a really solid TV bout and Becky’s confrontation with Charlotte was excellent. For those reasons, the show gets a Smack Bang in the Middle from me.
