WWE Raw vs. SmackDown #10 – June 25 & 26

SmackDown Live

Team Hell No? Hell Yes!

SmackDown Live opened with Miz TV, with his guests being the Bludgeon Brothers.

Miz rather stupidly asked them if they wanted to be the new Miztourage, but Daniel Bryan came onto the stage before they could eat him alive.

Bryan challenged one of them to a match, and Harper accepted.

Following Rowan’s interference leading to a Bryan DQ win, the Bludgeons continued their assault.

That was until Kane made his return and cleared the ring.

After a tense few moments, Kane and Bryan hugged, and Paige made them the Harper and Rowan’s challengers at Extreme Rules.

So there was nothing big planned for them this week either?

SAnitY finally made their first appearance on the WWE main roster last week, but judging by this week, nothing major was lined up to follow.

After Shinsuke Nakamura suffered an injury on Monday night, Hardy was left without a challenger.

So Eric Young was substituted in. Which was fine, but also hints that they had nothing important set for this week anyway.

Ellsworth on the pull

With Carmella in Australia, James Ellsworth was on his lonesome last night and made his way to the ring.

He challenged Asuka to a match, and Paige obliged scheduling it for next week.

Ellsworth did also ask Paige on a date. At least he tried.

The SmackDown GM also announced that Asuka will once again challenge for Carmella’s WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at Extreme Rules.

The Verdict

While Raw did have some cool stuff in there, there was just too much that seemed hastily put together and completely nonsensical. Either that or just outright repetitive.

The same can be said for parts of SmackDown, but we did get two championship matches confirmed for the upcoming pay-per-view and a brilliant tag team reunion.

SmackDown pips it this week.
