Update On Adam Cole Injury After AEW Dynamite Grand Slam AEW

An update has been provided on Adam Cole following an injury he sustained at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam on September 20, 2023.

Cole’s injury came during the Samoa Joe vs MJF match for the AEW World Championship.

As can be seen from the highlights from the match below this news story, Cole does a run-in to help MJF retain the title.

During the spot, however, he jumps from the ramp and lands awkwardly on the floor, limping slightly whilst heading to support his best friend.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that Cole was taken to hospital for the injury, later providing an update stating that Cole is “out of the hospital and on crutches.”

Cole wasn’t the only AEW star to suffer injury at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, with Jon Moxley apparently having to call an audible during his match against Rey Fenix.

According to an earlier report, Moxley has been diagnosed with a concussion that occurred during the pre-match brawl rather than during the match itself.

WrestleTalk wishes Adam Cole and Jon Moxley well in their recovery from injury.
